Evaluation question 1 (Draft)

In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge the forms and conventions of real media texts?

My music video has several features which can be viewed as challenge forms and conventions of real media texts, firstly one key aspects of Goodwin's theory which is lip syncing, during our video there is several moments where the on screen images refer completely to the lyrics. During our music video we have challenged the normal principals by interlinking other media forms, towards the end of the video there is a clip of a people in a robot competition from 1984 which is also a link to a repeated phrase in the song.

A bad week!

This week was set aside as the week in which we filmed the majority of our footage, however it was a D.I.S.A.S.T.E.R. Firstly there was a horrendous downpour of snow this with my illness made filming impossible for this week this therefore our rough cut was horribly under done. Due to this we have fallen behind schedule.

Just a thought..

I was thinking of the scene in which Ben is walking behind a group of girls on there way into town. I believe that this will look more realistic if we use a go pro camera in stead of the normal camera. i feel it will provide the audience with the perfect proof that  hes behind them and the realism of the camera movement will related to it being a dream that we all will have and not just a video proffesionally put toghether and made to look perfect and unnatural.

Second day of filming.

On the second day of filming we did the first half of the bathroom scene in which Ben is shaving and getting ready for his night out. I arrived early that day to set up the props, camera and lighting so we could get straight into the filming. When Ben arrived we got straight into it and had a successful day of filming but as we only had to film around 20 seconds of filming it did'nt take alot of time.
